COVID-19 Problems of Students?

COVID-19 PROBLEMS OF STUDENT:

Because of the infectious disease like corona where living in homes is being taught. In this sense, online education is the safest way to get an education. But in some cases, it is very painful. Where you have to leave your home to get a lecture, this medium ie online education loses its usefulness. Because during this time students are also at risk of the coronavirus.

Online lecture

The coronavirus that disrupted the entire system of the world. It is as if no area of life could be safe from its destruction. How could he live there without being affected by such a great duty as education? That is, when Pakistan, like all other countries, imposed a lockdown because of Corona, all industries, all shops were closed and even religious circles were restricted. Therefore, in this situation of fear, all educational institutions had to be closed. Because students are the capital of any country. The first step taken by the government at that time was the closure of all schools and colleges and universities on March 13. Although this situation greatly affected the education system. But after the announcement, on March 18, the Higher Education Commission directed all universities to arrange online teaching. Therefore, all the universities started offering online education for the safety of students and staff. But most of the students did not like this radical change of teaching style (online education). Because before that Pakistan had not adopted this style of education even during terrorism. Therefore, the sudden change in the style of education in view of the coronavirus has brought relief to some students who have known about online education for a long time and have benefited from online education in the past. But on the other hand, many other students lack resources and do not have access to the Internet to recognize this change as a threat to their grades. Of course, this is an issue that cannot be ignored. But it turns out that the authorities above and the Higher Education Commission are probably keeping a close eye on all such issues. Because of the infectious disease like corona where living in homes is being taught. In this sense, online education is the safest way to get an education. But in some cases, it is very painful. Where you have to leave your home to get a lecture, this medium, ie online education, loses its usefulness. Because students are also at risk of coronavirus. Therefore, a similar story is told by Abdul Ghani, who is studying at the University Of Karachi. When the university closed, like the rest of the students, it returned to its suburbs of Nawankot. But when the university started offering online education, it was no less of an inconvenience to Abdul Ghani. Because the area where he lives has very little internet access and is limited to a few people. "Because I don't have the internet as well as the computer," says Abdul Ghani. That's why I'm unable to study online. This is the story of a student who lacks the basic requirements for online education, which can lead to a drop in his grades. But similar stories that are actually painful are also being heard from the northern parts of Pakistan. This is the reason why the students there are being affected and moreover, this is the reason why it is also a cause of concern for the students of Balochistan. Meanwhile, various pictures circulating on social media accurately reflect his pain. But various trends on social media have also been top trends in the meantime, with students seeking to convey their demands to the chairman of the Higher Education Commission. But even these sub-trends did not convey appeal to the Higher Education Commission to reconsider its decision. One of the trends was to get our fees to refund appeal to the Higher Education Commission to reconsider its decision. One of the trends was to get our fees refunded. This seems reasonable because neither the students are using the classrooms of the university nor are they benefiting from the hostel facility nor are they using other facilities. Therefore, this demand of the students is justified because the students are upset in both cases. First of all, the university paid a hefty fee and now the students have to bear the cost of the internet for online education. Which puts more burden on their parents. Regardless of all this, the government should have provided free internet to all university students and provided laptops to needy students. So that no student is deprived of online education. Moreover, how will the students with all these worries bear the burden of the exam? Because on the one hand, the fear of Corona is widespread and on the other hand, the fear of exams can also lead to poor health of students. Therefore, on this occasion, most students in the UK and other countries want the start of the school year to be delayed.Because if we can save our lives this year, we can resume all the delayed work next year. Therefore, in this regard, the Higher Education Commission will have to comply with some of the demands of the students so that the students do not take any major step, such as the strike or the siege of the office of the Higher Education Commission, to avoid all these disturbances. Therefore, the demand for refunding half of the fees of the students should be accepted and also the exams should be postponed this year due to the fear of coronavirus, so do not hesitate to decide in the wider interest of the students.Of course, the source of virtual education is the need of the hour, but in a country like Pakistan, where many areas still lack internet access, it will not be very useful. In all these cases, the biggest crisis that has emerged is the distance of students and teachers from virtual education. In this regard, the university administration should have made the students and teachers aware of this and should have adopted the simplest method and put an as little burden on the students as possible. But despite all this, students are unable to bear the burden of assignments and lectures. Because it's much more than their ability.
The role of the government in this regard should be to recognize the legitimate demands of its students. Also, the government of the time which wants to make Pakistan a digital Pakistan. To fulfill this desire, first of all, ensure the acquisition of the internet in Pakistan. Also, provide free and affordable internet and other technology access for students. So that in the near future, whenever we have to use virtual education, this style of education can be easily adopted.
