Ram Mandir: A political compulsion of the BJP

Ram Mandir: A political compulsion of the BJP

There are various objections to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ayodhya Yatra, such as why he is leaving during Corona's ban. However, he has previously visited Amphan Toofan and Ladakh. Ordinary people are banned, so why not them? Those who talk like this forget that in a democratic system, the distinction between the ordinary and the special is not a special thing but a common thing. Some people do not consider it right for the rulers of a secular country to go to religious places even though they have not done so, including Rajendra Prasad and Indira Gandhi. What is the harm in this? If no one could stop Maulana Azad from coming to the Jama Masjid or laying the foundation stone of a new mosque, how could he stop Modi? But an important question to consider is where has Narendra Modi been so far  in this long Ram Mandir movement? A picture of him appears in the chariot as he leaves the Somnath temple, but then he suddenly disappears and reappears years later.
This is what Dr. Subramanyam Swamy, a big supporter of Ram Mandir, has said in his TV interview. According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not done anything for the Ram Temple so he has no business there. According to Swamiji, the credit for the Ram temple goes to Rajiv Gandhi, Narasimha Rao and Ashok Singhal.Another question is why Modi or any of his cabinet ministers are not among those being prosecuted in connection with the Babri Masjid martyrdom. Uma Bharti could have been, but she too is currently out of the ministry. The answer to the above questions is that Modi and Advani have very different styles of politics. There is a big difference between going to meetings and giving speeches and running a movement. Like LK Advani, Narendra Modi never took to the streets to launch a people's movement.Prime Minister Modi used the accident of a fire in the coach of Ram Bhakt inside the Sabarmati Express and won the first election by giving free rein to the riots. It could have happened if there was someone else in the box, but it was easier to provoke emotions because of the corsets.Later, an atmosphere was created through the encounter of Sohrabuddin and Prajapati and then by encountering Ishrat Jahan, he won the second and third elections in Gujarat. The prime minister won the first national election on a "good day" and the second on an "air strike".He did not need Ayodhya or Ram temple so he neither raised the issue of temple nor visited Ayodhya. Before the 2019 elections, the Singh Parivar wanted elections to be fought on this issue. An atmosphere was being created for it from Kumbh Mela but the Prime Minister said that the matter is in the court to put it in a cold bag.
During the 2019 election campaign, he went to the border of Ayodhya district. Coincidentally, it was May labour Day, so instead of Ram Mandir, he came back to talk about the problems of the workers. In this new term, the Modi government has come to realize that the card of development or Pakistan will no longer work.In politics, since people get bored very quickly, no issue can be raised a second time in a short period of time. After a long hiatus, when people forget, it can be redeemed. Therefore, the issues of Article 370 of Kashmir and Ram Mandir were raised. The BJP has run it long ago. The old people have died or become old. Therefore, it was possible to raise it again in front of the new generation.
For the first time, the BJP raised the issue of Ram Mandir under pure political pressure. When the Vishwa Hindu Parishad laid the foundation stone of the Ram Temple on November 9, 1989 with the help of the Congress, the BJP distanced itself from it for various reasons. The Congress then lost power in the province and at the center. When VP Singh came to power, the BJP was supporting him from outside. When VP Singh played the Mandal card, the parrots flew away from the hands of the BJP and he was forced to enter the field with the Mandal. Advani had said at the beginning of the Ram Rath Yatra that now we have no other choice.
Mandal's contest through Mandal was the BJP's compulsion, otherwise it would have been wiped out by the political chessboard. The BJP easily confused the masses in the Rath Yatra and deprived the Janata Dal of the benefit of the Mandal. His rival's strategy of diverting public attention and harming him was successful. The whole nation paid a heavy price. Hatred and chaos spread in the country and the biggest loss was to the Muslims. They had to wash their hands of their mosque. The battle of Mandal and Kamandal raised the body of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh. After 1989, the Congress government in UP became a dream. Going forward, the BJP's infallible government came to power by filling the gap created by the disintegration of the Janata Dal in national politics.
After the formation of the government, Atalji's government put the Ram temple in a cold storage and Modi did not touch it in the first term because it had no political need. The dream of a  5 trillion economy that the Prime Minister dreamed of on Independence Day last year, even if it had a partial success, may not be so quickly remembered by the BJP.It seems that the Modi government soon realized that it was not enough to bring good days in this country. The people's frustration will lead to his departure in the next election. Therefore, it was once again forced to formulate a political strategy along purely sectarian lines. This was the post-Mandal political pressure.
The Ram Mandir movement leader in the BJP was resting in Marg Darshan Mandal and the Hindu people had forgotten him. There were opportunities to lure the new generation through it once again. These people were invited on the phone and they were content to watch from afar. By the way, his goodness lies in the fact that he did not go, so in the presence of Modi, the camera would ignore him during the ceremony and he would be embarrassed without any reason. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ayodhya on August 5 announced the inauguration of 51 projects worth Rs 1,000 crore to lay the foundation stone of the temple in Ayodhya and make the area a tourist destination. It also includes a 3 km long and 500 m deep Sita Lake. There are also plans to widen the roads. The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 447 crore for this purpose, but on the same day that these details were being published in the newspapers, a shocking picture emerged from the Prime Minister's constituency of Varanasi.A body was being taken home on a stretcher as an ambulance was not available from the government hospital. PM Modi has come to understand that since he cannot turn his constituency into Kyoto as promised, Try to get votes. The question is, will voters be distracted again? Or will you take the nails of wisdom?
The controversial decision was taken by the Supreme Court in November last year to lure the people away from the temple. In April this year, on the occasion of Ram Naomi, plans were made to start construction of the Ram Temple so that Modi could inaugurate the temple before the 5th Lok Sabha elections and seek votes in the name of Ram. The Corona epidemic suddenly changed everything. The failure to deal with it, the potential economic woes and the defeat on the Chinese border brought the BJP to Ram's shelter prematurely and Modi was forced to move to Ayodhya four years ago.The Ram Mandir is now the last ray of hope for the BJP in the Uttar Pradesh provincial and national elections. Whether this lamp reaches his destination or burns his house is decided in the book of the future. This poem of Arsh Sehbai would have come true on this premature Ayodhya Yatra of Modi ji.
Hearts have come to entertain the impatient
We went to the bar in the evening
