Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has revealed that the root cause of the wheat and sugar crisis is the government's own mistakes.
Speaking on Geo News' Capital Talk program, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Federal Bureau of Statistics had given wrong figures to the government saying that the production of wheat and sugar was more than our requirement so it should be exported.
According to the federal minister, the government exported but now we are facing shortage of wheat and sugar. Due to data error, it was decided to export wheat and sugar.
He said that action should be taken against those responsible for the wheat and sugar crisis.
Referring to the opposition rallies, Fawad Chaudhry said that after a long period of time, such an atmosphere has been created that the government is not interfering in the opposition rallies.
